UPSSSC PET 2023 Notification
Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released the notification for the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023 on its official website. The PET is a qualifying exam for various Group C posts in the state government. The online application process will start from August 1, 2023 and end on August 30, 2023. Only the candidates who have passed High school/ class 10th or any other equivalent exam can apply for UPSSSC PET 2023. Those who have not passed High school cannot apply.
Applicants must be of Indian origin. However, please note that the place of working will be Uttar Pradesh.

UPSSSC PET 2023 Selection Process
PET exam is a screening test that qualifies the candidates to appear for the main exams of different posts. PET exam is conducted in offline mode with an OMR sheet. The exam consists of 100 objective type questions with multiple choice options. Each question carries one mark and there is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. The questions are based on 15 subjects, including General Studies, General Hindi, General English, Elementary Mathematics, Reasoning, and Analysis. The standard of the questions is based on the NCERT books of 10th and 12th class. The candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks in the PET exam are eligible to apply for the main exams of various Group C posts as per their preference and eligibility. The main exams may consist of written tests, skill tests, physical tests, or interviews depending on the nature of the post.
