SSC conducts the SSC CHSL exam in two tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2. The exam pattern is different for both tiers; it means you should have knowledge of the exam pattern for both. SSC CHSL Tier 1 Exam Pattern

SSC CHSL Tier 1 is the first stage of the exam. Aspirants who fill out the form will be eligible to appear in the Tier 1 exam. SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam consists of four sections: English Language (Basic Knowledge), General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill), and General Awareness.

  • Total Questions: 100 (25 in Each Section)
  • Types of Questions: Objective Types of Questions
  • Total Marks: 200 (50 for Each Section)
  • Total Time Duration: 60 minutes (80 minutes for candidates eligible for scribe)
  • Language of Question Paper: English, Hindi, and any language opted by the candidate in the application form, as given at Annexure-XVI for Part-II, III & IV of Tier-I examination.
  • Negative Marking for Each Wrong Answer: 0.50 Marks

  • Marks scored by the candidates in the Computer-Based Examination will be normalized if conducted in multiple shifts.
  • There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the scores of any stage/ Tier(s) of the examination.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

Have you gone through the Tier 1 exam pattern? Now, know the Tier 2 exam pattern. However, the Tier 2 exam will be conducted after the conduct of the Tier 1 exam. But you should know the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam pattern in advance so that you can prepare for the exam in advance. Most candidates think that they will prepare for the Tier 2 exam after appearing in the Tier 2 exam. But they are informed that clearing the tier 2 exam is not as easy as tier 1 was. Clearing the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam requires much more study, revision, and practice than the Tier 1 exam. To start the preparation for the Tier 2 exam, you must go through its exam pattern first so that you can plan your study for the exam.
