SNAP Exam Pattern 2024
The format of SNAP underwent a change in 2017 from a paper-based format to a computer-based one. Next year (in 2018), the format was altered once again and special questions were introduced. The number of questions was lessened thereby affecting the format once again in 2019. When COVID-19 struck in 2020, the questions were limited to 60 questions and the duration of the exam was set to 1 hour. And until 2023, the same format is being followed. The SNAP exam is a 60-minute test with 60 multiple-choice questions. The exam is divided into three sections:
Section | Questions | Marks Per Correct Answer | Total Marks |
General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability | 15 | 1 | 15 |
Analytical & Logical Reasoning | 25 | 1 | 25 |
Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency | 20 | 1 | 20 |
Total | 60 | | 60 |
- The SNAP Test 2024 is a computer-based test with a duration of 60 minutes.
- The test is objective, with each question having four responses. Candidates should choose the most appropriate response. Please note that each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.
- A candidate can appear for up to three tests for SNAP. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization.
- The question papers will be normalized for the level of difficulty across all three tests. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers.
- The total number of questions is 60 and the total marks are also 60.
- There is no sectional cut-off. Your overall score is considered for admission, so it is important to perform well in all sections of the exam.
- SNAP scores are accepted by over 15 Symbiosis institutes, as well as other leading B-schools.
