OSCB or the Odisha State Cooperative Bank Limited will release a recruitment notification for Banking Assistant (Grade-II) in District Central Co-operative Banks functioning in Odisha. Age Relaxation

For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC) categories, there is a relaxation of 5 (Five) years in the upper age limit.

There is a relaxation of 5 (five) years for women candidates in the upper age limit.

Candidates belonging to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category have a relaxation of 10 (ten) years in the upper age limit.

In the case of ex-servicemen, the relaxation is to the extent of the defence services provided under Odisha Ex-servicemen (Recruitment to State Civil Service and Posts) Rule 1985.

It is important to note that any candidate who falls under more than one relaxation category in age will only be allowed to avail of a single age-related relaxation benefit. It is the one most beneficial to the candidate.

Ex-servicemen

On the date of submitting the online application, if a person has more than 6 months left before retirement or is discharged from the forces, they are not eligible to apply as an Ex-serviceman.

Ex-servicemen who will be retiring within 6 (six) months from the last date of online application form filling are eligible to apply as Ex-servicemen. Still, they must get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from an approved authority. The NOC must specify the date of the person's appointment, the date of the person's retirement, how many years of service the person put in with the Defence Forces. It will be expected from these persons to furnish their discharge certificate at the time of Certificate Verification to be considered in the category of Ex-servicemen.
