LIC AAO Exam Pattern 2025 Overview
The exam pattern for the Assistant Administrative Officer (Generalist role) includes Prelims exam pattern, Mains exam Pattern and Interview pattern. Knowing the exam pattern is essential for every candidate who is willing to appear in the LIC AAO exam 2025. The Prelims exam contains 100 questions of 70 marks (30 marks of English is Qualifying only). There is NO Negative Marking and minimum qualifying marks apply for each section of the Prelims and Mains exam.

LIC AAO Prelims Exam Pattern 2025
The LIC AAO Prelims exam is of total 70 marks and has 100 multiple choice questions from Quant, Reasoning, and English Language section. The Prelims exam pattern has 35 questions of 35 marks of the Quantitative Aptitude and 35 questions of 35 marks of Reasoning Ability section. 20 minute sectional timing applies for each section. The minimum qualifying marks for Reasoning ability and Quant section is 18 and for English Language it is 10 out of total 30 marks. There is NO negative marking in the Prelims exam of LIC AAO 2025 (generalists) paper. English Language marks are of qualifying nature.

Note:
- **English Language test will be of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language will not be counted for ranking.
- Candidates equal to 20 times of number of vacancies in each category, subject to availability, will be shortlisted for Main examination.
LIC AAO Mains Exam Pattern 2025
The LIC AAO 2025 Mains exam contains objective and subjective questions. You will get 300 marks objections questions which have 120 multiple choice questions. Both objective and subjective tests are in online mode and there is no time gap between both tests. The 25 marks subjective test is of qualifying in nature which has Report writing, Essay writing, and other descriptive writing topics. Therefore, your overall marks obtained out of 300 total marks of objective tests is considered for preparing the final merit list. THe candidates who qualify in the Mains exam are further called for the Interview and the pre-recruitment medical examination.

Note:
- **Descriptive test of English Language etc. will be of qualifying nature and the marks in English Language will not be counted for ranking.
- Descriptive paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify in the objective part of main Examination
- Candidate MUST pass in each Section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in the aggregate to qualify for the online examinations (Preliminary and Main) and the interview. The responses (answers) of individual candidates with other candidates would be analyzed to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong answers. If in the analytical procedure adopted in this regard, it is inferred/concluded that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/valid, LIC reserves the right to cancel the candidature of the concerned candidate and the result of such candidates (disqualified) will be withheld.
- The minimum marks to be obtained in each Section and cut off marks for each section and in the aggregate shall be decided by LIC. Descriptive test of English Language etc. is of qualifying nature and marks in this test will not be counted for ranking. The decision of LIC in this regard shall be final and binding on the candidates. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equi-percentile equating method.
LIC AAO 2025 Interview Details
The interview will be of 60 marks total. You will be asked questions related to financial and Insurance awareness in the Interview. You should be well aware of the major events/ changes happening in the Insurance sector and upcoming challenges related to it.
There is a minimum qualifying mark in the interview. The minimum qualifying marks for General and EWS Category Candidates is 30 and reserved category candidates is 27.
The final merit will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the LIC AAO Mains Exam and the Interview.
