You'll also get other government benefits like medical facilities, pension, provident fund, and job security that comes with being a central government employee.

What are the physical requirements for male and female candidates? +

For female candidates, the minimum height is 157 cm (relaxable by 5 cm for certain categories), and you need to complete an 800-meter race within 5 minutes if under 30, plus long jump (9 feet) and high jump (3 feet). You get three chances each for long jump and high jump, but there's no appeal if you're disqualified in any event.

When can I apply and what documents do I need? +

You can apply online from September 24, 2025, to October 15, 2025 (till 11 PM) through the SSC website (ssc.gov.in) or the 'my SSC' mobile app. You'll need your 10th and 12th certificates, a scanned signature (10-20 KB, JPEG format), and any category certificates if you're from SC/ST/OBC/EWS.
