SSC GD Constable Selection Procedure
There are four stages in the recruitment process of SSC GD Constable which are:
- Written examination (Computer Based)
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Physical Standard Test (PST)
- Medical Test

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern
Here we have provided SSC GD Constable latest exam pattern because in this notification there is a major change regarding the exam pattern. Earlier, there were 100 questions in the Computer Based Examination but now there are 80 questions in the Computer Based Examination of SSC GD Constable, each question is of 2 marks.

SSC GD Constable Written Examination (Computer Based) Exam Pattern
- The SSC GD Constable Exam is Computer Based Examination: The Computer based examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 80 questions carrying 2 marks each, with the following composition:
- SSC GD Constable Exam all questions are Objective Multiple Choice Type Questions. The computer based examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
- There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions

SSC GD Constable Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The candidate must be efficient to finish the race within the time limit as mentioned in the below table. The limit has been set differently for candidates of Ladakh region.

NOTE:
- All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type.
- There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
SSC GD Constable Physical Standard Test (PST)
The candidates will be examined for the physical standards including Height and Chest (only males). Only the candidates who meet the requirement will be called for medical examination. The physical standards required have been discussed below.

However, there is some relaxation provided for candidates belonging to hilly areas, scheduled tribes, north-eastern states, Left Wing Extremism affected districts, Gorkha Territorial Administration. Chest measurement for female candidates has not been included in the Physical Standard Test, however, the chest should be well developed.

Note: Physical Standard Test (PST)/ Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME) will be scheduled and concluded by CAPFs.
