As aspirants begin the preparation of RRB Clerk and RRB PO exams, knowing this timeline becomes vital in their planning. From the day, the notification is released aspirants get 28 days to apply. Please note that this application window is a golden period for aspirants. While other aspirants discuss about whether to apply for these vacancies or not, serious aspirants apply within a week and start their preparation right away. They don’t wait to apply for the last day. By starting to prepare early, they get an edge over a majority of other applicants.

If you’re preparing for this exam for the first time, have a look below at what do these events mean and how important they are in your preparation:

Official Notification Release Date

This is the day the notification is released for RRB Office Assistant. If you have not started studying, start now! Make a clear study plan right away. Focus on the two main subjects: Reasoning and Numerical Ability.

Online Application Start Date & Last Date to Apply & Pay Fee

You can start filling out the form early rather than waiting for the last day to avoid any last-minute technical issue. The last day, September 28th, is the deadline. Finish your application before this date to avoid website problems. Once done, go back to studying your basics.

Application Edit Window

This is a very short time to fix any mistakes on your application form. Check everything carefully, especially your name and the local language you chose. Make sure it's all correct so that your application doesn't get disqualified.

PET Call Letter

This is a training before the exam (Pre-Exam Training). Please note that this training is conducted only for IBPS conducts Pre-Exam Training (PET) for candidates from SC (Scheduled Caste), ST (Scheduled Tribe), and Minority communities, and sometimes Ex-Servicemen (EXS) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). This date means the real exam is generally  less than two weeks away! Stop learning new things. Start taking many practice tests (Mocks) exactly like the real exam, and spend time checking your mistakes.

Office Assistant (Clerk) Prelims Admit Card

Your call letter is out. Prelims is very close now. Now, only focus on doing daily practice tests. Work on being fast and accurate. Do not try to study new chapters now.

Office Assistant (Clerk) Prelims Exam

Do your best! Follow the plan you practiced. After you finish your exam, take one day off. Then, rather than waiting for Prelims results, immediately start studying for the Mains exam. You must learn the subjects English/Hindi, General Awareness (current events) and Computer Knowledge which are there in Mains but were not there in Prelims.

Office Assistant (Clerk) Mains Exam Date

Mains is the final exam. You have about seven weeks after the Prelims. Spend most of this time practicing the new subjects (General Awareness, Computer) and the tougher Numerical Ability and Reasoning questions. Take 4-5 full practice Mains tests before this date.

Provisional Allotment (Final Result)

This is the day you find out if you got the job! Your studying is done. You need to gather all your important paperwork (like your education certificates and ID) for the final check before you start working.
