IBPS RRB Assistant Eligibility Criteria
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will be conducting the Online Common Written Examination (CWE) for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). Candidates to gain eligibility to appear for IBPS CWE must satisfy the eligibility criteria given below to apply for Office Assistant vacancies.
Credit History
- The candidate applying shall ensure that, they maintain a healthy Credit history and shall have a minimum CIBIL score of 650 or above at the time of joining of RRBs. The minimum credit score will be as per the policy of participating RRBs, amended from time to time.
- Those candidates whose CIBIL status has not been updated before the date of joining, have to either get the CIBIL status updated or produce the NOCs from lender to the effect that there is no outstanding with respect to the accounts adversely reflected in the CIBIL, failing which the letter of offer shall be withdrawn/cancelled.
NOTE: Candidates with no bank account shall not be required to produce the CIBIL status.
Nationality
A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India
Age Limit
Candidates age limit should be between 18 years and 28 years i.e. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.09.1997 and laterthan 01.09.2007 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is extended as per the government rules.

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Office Assistant vacancies must have completed a Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent and Proficiency in the local language. Desirable: Working knowledge of computers.
Language Proficiency
The candidates applying for the posts of Officer Scale I and Office Assistants –(Multipurpose) in any particular RRB or RRBs are required to possess proficiency in the local language of the State/ UT in which the RRB is situated to be eligible for interview, as per the notification of the concerned RRB.
